Test Details: Bcl-2 (B-cell lymphoma 2 protein) is a family of regulator proteins involved in the regulation of programmed cell death. Overexpression of Bcl-2 is common in many types of cancer, including Non-Hodgkin lymphoma and leukaemia, carcinomas,neuroblastoma and various sarcomas like synovial sarcoma,etc. Bcl-2 is also helpful in distinguishing follicular lymphoma from reactive follicular hyperplasia.
