Flow Cytometry - CD43
Test Details: CD 43 is a Pan T cell marker important in T cell and neutrophil adhesion to endothelium, also called as leukosialin, sialophorin. CD 43 serves as a ligand for E-selectin on T cells and may regulate T cell trafficking, it also has both antiadhesive and proadhesive roles in neutrophil rolling. As a Pan T cell marker, it also helps in diagnosing of myeloid (granulocytic) sarcoma, classify subtypes of T cell lymphomas and low grade B cell lymphomas and differentiate between pulmonary MALT lymphoma (CD20+ CD43+) from lymphoid hyperplasia (CD43-).
