Test Details: Flow cytometry myeloma panel is used if in addition to blood investigations i.e. serum electrophoresis, serum immunofixation, SFLC assay; bone marrow shows increased number of plasma cells. Panel of flow cytometry markers are used to assess whether these plasma cells are monoclonal or polyclonal in nature. This panel of markers are also used in assessment of minimal residual disease in known case of multiple myeloma on therapy.
