Test Details: This test is used for the diagnosis and treatment of acid-base imbalance in disorders of respiratory and metabolic systems. Together with pH determination, bicarbonate measurements are used in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions such as diarrhoea, renal tubular acidosis, hyperkalemic acidosis, renal failure and ketoacidosis.
