Test Details: This testing is indicated to diagnose dengue fever when patient has symptoms such as high grade fever, abdominal pain and Vomiting. Dengue Virus non-structural protein 1 (NS1) is detectable during the acute phase of dengue virus infections, prior to IgM seroconversion. NS1 antigenemia is detectable within 24 hours and up to 9 days following symptom onset. Therefore this test helps in early diagnosis and treatment of dengue infection before progression to severe form of disease.
