Test Details: C-reactive protein is a test that is used to evaluate conditions that cause inflammation in the body. CRP is also used as an adjunct with other test to help assess an individual's risk for developing heart disease. Clinician will order hs CRP if an individual is having signs and symptoms of high fever with chills, rapid breathing, rapid heart rate, nausea and vomiting. CRP levels are also indicated to monitor if the ongoing inflammation in the body is reducing.
