Test Details: This test is an indicator of adrenal androgen production and aids in the investigation of virilizing endocrinopathies in conjunction with other sex steroids. This test is useful in identification of androgen secreting adrenal tumors specially adrenal carcinomas and in the diagnosis of premature adrenarche. This test is an adjunct in the diagnosis of Congenital adrenal hyperplasia.
