Test Details: Cryptococcosis is an invasive fungal infection caused by Cryptococcus neoformans found commonly in pigeon droppings. The disease affects mainly lungs and central nervous system (CNS). This test is the preferred test for diagnosis of Cryptococcal infection. It identifies cryptococcus as etiological agent of meningitis.
