This test is done only for a male individual after the observation of their semen sample or other symptomatic conditions related to Urinary tract infection. When the semen sample contains white blood cells in it, there is a possibility of infection and to detect the presence of pathogen, this test is prioritised. This also helps in identifying the particular microorganism and thereby finding the correct antibiotic for treatment.
