Rubella IgM IgG Antibody
Test Details: Rubella is a virus. It causes an infection in which there is mild fever and rash for 2 to 3 days. There are two types of Rubella antibodies that include IgG and IgM. IgM antibody appears after exposure to the rubella virus for the first time. It rises to its highest levels in the blood in 7 to 10 days and the level falls down after the infection is cured. IgG antibodies appear late but stay in the blood for a lifetime. It helps the body to protect against re-infection. This test helps in detecting both the antibodies helping in complete diagnosis of the infection.
