Glycophorin A
Test Details: Glycophorin A is one of the two transmembrane protein exposed on the outer surface of normal human erythrocytes. This monoclonal antibody reacts with an epitope located on the extracellular domain of glycophorin A and does not cross react with glycophorin D. In normal human erythrocytes, glycophorin A is expressed during all stages of differentiation, from the normoblast to mature erythrocyte. Glycophorin A has also been located in the blast cells of erythroleukemia.
