Test Details: Hanta virus is transmitted to people by infected rodents; can cause either haemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome or hanta virus cardiopulmonary syndrome. Early symptoms include fever, chills, nausea, abdominal pain and muscle soreness. Other symptoms include hypotension, thrombocytopenia, renal failure, shortness of breath, tachycardia, pulmonary edema etc. Hantavirus diagnosis is usually made by serology.
