Test Details: HLA typing is of clinical significance in determining tissue compatibility or HLA matching between donor and recipient transplant patients and also in the assessment of disease associations. Matching the HLA loci is essential for successful transplantation. The IMGT/HLA database is used as reference for HLA A B C DR DQ typing. HLA A B C DR DQ typing shows 100% specificity and 100% sensitivity. In Next-gen sequencing (NGS), exons 2-4 are covered including the intronic regions in between for DRB1.
