NPM1 Gene Analysis (Hot Spot - exon 12)
Test Details: NPM1 mutations are class II mutations which impair hematopoietic differentiation and subsequent apoptosis. NPM1 Exon 12 insertion/deletion mutations are more prevalent in Acute Myeloid Leukemia. This assay is used for monitoring response to therapy. Mutations in exon 12 of NPM1 are the most frequent molecular alterations in AML with normal karyotype, found in 60% of AML cases.
