Test Details: Electron microscopy is a technique used for obtaining high resolution images of biological and non-biological specimens. Most commonly TEM is used for diagnosing or categorizing ciliary, storage or neuromuscular disorder. TEM provides diagnostic criteria for Mesotheliomas, Squamous cell carcinoma, Adenocarcinoma, Alveolar soft tissue sarcoma, Amelanotic melanoma, Weibel palade bodies of endothelial cells in vascular tumours, reincke crystals of leydig cell tumours, dense core granules of neuroendocrine tumours, mitochondria of oncocytoma and small clear vesicles of chromophobe tumours of kidney.
